Intake
The college started in 1993 with B.Tech. programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering with a strength of 30 students in each major. In 1997, the intake was increased to 60 students in each discipline.
The intake was further increased to 90 students each in Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2000-2001. Two new programs – B.Tech. in Information Technology with an intake of 60 students and B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with a strength of 60 students were introduced from the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 sessions respectively.
In the 2006-2007 session, the intake was increased to 120 students each in Computer Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. In the 2007-2008 session, the intake of Electronics and Communication was further increased to 120 students.
A new branch of B.Tech. in Industrial Engg. with an intake of 60 students was introduced from the session 2008-2009. A new branch of Civil Engg. was also added to the existing programs with a strength of 60 in session 2010-2011 which was further increased to 120 in session 2012-2013.
In the 2009 session, the intake was increased to 180 students each in Computer Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Electrical Engineering strength of 60 students was further increased to 120 students from the session 2012-2013.Thus, making the total strength of the college increased to 870 for all B.Tech. branches.
Presently, the college runs total of seven B.Tech. Programs and nine Post-Graduate Programs. The present intake of regular courses of B.Tech (Graduate courses) & M.Tech (Post-Graduate courses) for the Academic session (2013-2014) is as shown below.
