About Deep Learning

Deep learning is a fastest – growing field of Artificial Intelligence concerned with the study and design of computer algorithms for learning good representations of data, at multiple levels of abstraction. It features the development of complex, multi-layered algorithms based on Deep Neural Networks (DNN) to achieve critical breakthroughs in object recognition, facial recognition, and image/voice/speech recognition, as well as machine translation, Big Data analytics and natural language processing. The transformative impact of Deep Learning technology affects every industry, from security and social media to retail, finance and IoT (Internet of Things).


Overall theme of this workshop is to create awareness among faculty members about recent trends in research and also to create foundation of deep learning algorithms using various tools, where they can apply deep learning to solve real world problems. The proposed FDP introduces fundamental concepts of Machine Learning and Deep Learning. It covers an overview of machine learning and Deep Learning algorithms and their applications. The training comprises of a series of lectures and practical exercises. The participants obtain deep insights of machine learning, which in turn helps them to apply it in practice or as a foundation to a deeper study in this area. The duration of this workshop will be two days, with three sessions of two hour each.

Experts from Academia and Industry will be invited for delivering the lectures. Hands on experience and practical on basic and advanced topics will be conducted.
