An awarness campaign was conducted on “say No to Plastic” and  use of solar energy in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and  NSS  club of  Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College Fatehgarh Sahib.

The members of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Scheme Prof Rajni Bala and Prof Amarjeet along with the students visited the village SaddooMajra.  Dr. Niraj Bala Coordinator of UBA elaborated that their college has adopted five villages under the UBA scheme and they are working for the welfare and improvement of these villages.

Dr. APS Sethi Coordinator NSS also deliberated on the issue of use of plastics and need of solar energy use

Ranjit Singh, Sarpanch of the village and S. Gurnam Singh Cheema school teacher of Sadoo Majra participated in the event. Principal Major General (Dr.) GS Lamba, VSM, highlighted the importance of such awareness camps.
