Computer Science & Engineering Department of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab) organized the Webinar on the Topic “Research & Advances in Deepfakes Detection” under BBSBEC ACM Student Chapter. The seminar was focused on creation of innovative technologies to detect deepfakes and manipulated media.Expert for the Webinar was Dr. Abhinav Dhall from Monash University, Australia. Currently, he leads the Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence lab in the Department of Human Centered Computing. The Webinar was conducted using Google Meet platform. It was also LIVE streamed on BBSBEC- CSE YouTube channel & also on the College Facebook page. Around 300 participants from all over the India & abroad participated in the webinar. All the participants were awarded e-certificates.

Dr. Kanwalvir Singh Dhindsa (Professor & Head, Department of CSE) highlighted the achievements of CSE Department & added that BTech (CSE) programme has been accredited for the fourth time in year 2020 by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Dr. Baljit Singh Khehra (Professor, CSE Department) proposed vote of thanks & closing remarks. Prof. Ravneet Kaur (Coordinator,ACM Student Chapter) was the coordinator of the event. Prof. Puneet Mittal, Prof. Gurleen Sidhu, Prof. Rupinder Kaur Randhawa, Prof. Rupinder Kaur Saini, Prof. Amanjot Kaur, Dr. Navneet Kaur, Dr. Jatinder Singh Saini, Prof. Khyati, Dr. Supreet Singh also attended the online webinar.
