A webinar on National Education Policy (NEP-2020) was conducted in the village Mirpur (Fatehgarh Sahib) under Unnat Bharat Abhiya. This village is adopted by the Computer Science & Engg. Department of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA). The villagers were briefed about the National Education Policy and the issues regarding development work required in the village were discussed under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. The keynote speaker of the seminar, Dr. Supreet Singh said that this education system has been designed keeping in view the present day needs of our youth. Engaging the children in vocational education from middle school onwards is the need of the hour and that student should be educated to adapt and use the technology. In NEP-2020, student is allowed to choose and study any subject according to their interest. Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Coordinator BBSBEC-UBA highlighted the ongoing work under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. Dr. GS Lamba, Principal BBSBEC lauded the efforts of the college faculty and staff and highlighted the benefits regarding same.
