CSE Student won ‘Ureka Global Challenge Competition-2021’
Posted By bbsbec3 on July 5, 2021Ms. Harjas Kaur Ratol, student of 3rd year Computer Science & Engineering, Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College has won ‘Ureka’s Global Youth Icon Challenge-2021’. She has won a brand new Lenovo tablet, paid Internship with Ureka and a Gold Medal. She is also currently the VP, Finance of Ureka DSAC Club at CSE Department, BBSBEC.
GYIC is a 15 days challenge where participants from around the world are evaluated by their skills in various domains. Several online training sessions were organized during the programme for the development of soft skills and technical skils like Leadership Skills, Communication skills, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Marketing. Same were conducted by the Alumni and researchers from University of Oxford & MIT. Practical insights into career prospects in the fields of Data Science, Cybersecurity, Smart Cities were also provided by International experts and industry professionals from companies like TCS, Citibank, Emirates etc.
Principal BBSBEC, Dr.Lakhvir Singh congratulated Harjas Kaur Ratol on her well-deserved success and wish good luck for her future endeavours. Dr. Kanwalvir Singh Dhindsa (Professor & Head, CSE Department) also congratulated the student for her exemplary achievement for winning world-level event and also stressed on organizing more such events in near future so as to bring students on global level. Dr. Navneet Kaur (AP,CSE) coordinated the overall event for the students.
