Different clubs and societies of college are working in this direction by carrying out regular activities for infusing social commitments, sensitizing about social issues, environment and well-being of fellow humans. The institute also has code of conduct for students and faculty members for guiding them to foster work culture in the institution. Activities done on regular basis: Blood Donation Camps: Every year, NSS Unit of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College (BBSBEC), Fatehgarh Sahib organizes a Blood Donation Camp. in the memory of its founder, Panth Rattan Gurcharan Singh Tohra . Plantation Drives:The institute organizes plantation drives on special occasions to mark the birth anniversaries of great personalities and it is the tradition of college to offer saplings as prize to the winners of different events. Sehaj Path: Every semester students of the institute organizes Sehaj path under the guidance of Faculty members to seek the blessings of almighty. Orientation Program: Every year Giani Harpal Singh ji , Head Granthi Shri Fatehgarh Sahib enlightens the students about the need of ethics in personal and professional life. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) The institution tries to imbue impactful corporate social responsibility and has adopted five villages under Govt. initiative Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) to, facilitate government program implementation, and assess on-the-ground requirements. Taking into consideration the major challenges of Climate Change due to carbon emission and pollution as a result of anthropogenic development process, BBSBEC has chalked out a judicious plan of sustainable rural development empowering the rural poor, artisans, farmers, tribes and women. |
