Webinar On Financial Literacy
The Department of Management Studies organised a webinar on the topic “Financial Literacy” on 10th September 2024 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, FGS under the guidance of Dr. Jasleen Kaur, HOD, Department of Management Studies.
The distinguished speaker, Ms. Anuya S. Deshpande, who has worked as a Sr. Executive Finance at JBM, Auto Ltd. Nasik. She also served her responsibilities as an Assistant Professor in different institutes.
She strated the topic by emphasis on investing money by trading securities.She clearly explained the process of opening the Demat Account, which is the first step required for online investment. Along with this, she illustrated steps of Rematerilization and Dematerialization, which are the main priorities of the investers. She defined the role of the brokers in buying and selling the securities. At the end, she guided the participants that how they could approach to various authorities like SEBI and RBI to protect themselves from any kind of financial loss.
A webinar has been attended by aprox.90 students and faculty members interactively. At the end, quiz and query sessions were conducted to assess the effectiveness of the learning outcome.
The Program was ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Lakhvir Singh, Principal, BBSBEC, FGS. He expressed his gratitude towards eminent speaker. Ms. Anuya S. Webinar On Financial Intelligence and Insights for better Wealth Management
The Department of Management Studies organised a webinar on the topic“Financial Intelligence and Insights for better Wealth Management” on 28th August, 2024 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, FGS under the guidance of Dr. Jasleen Kaur, HOD, Department of Management Studies.
The program started with the welcome speech given by Prof. Yamini Verma. She has introduced the speaker Dr. Suneel Sharma, Corporate Trainer at Excellence Global Skill (Ph.D in Physics; Master of Education in counselling). He has served as a Certified Financial Education Trainer with SEBI and has been an invaluable resource person for NCFE since 2019.
The eminent speaker initiated the speech by enlightening the importance of wealth management in everyone’s life. He guided the audience how to convert liabilities into assets and how one can prevent from cyber crimes. He has covered holistic view of what financial institutions are doing to assess clients overall financial health, and offers steps to protect their wealth for years to come. Graphically, several methods including Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP), National Pension Scheme(NPS), Sovereign Gold Bond along with Insurance types and mutual funds were presented.
A webinar has been attended by aprox.70 students and faculty members interactively. At the end, quiz and query sessions were conducted to assess the effectiveness of the learning outcome.

Report On E-Quiz on Independence Day
An E-QUIZ has been conducted on the occasion of 78th Independace Day (15th August, 2024) by Department of Management Studies in Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib. The quiz aimed to educate participants about the historical significance, key figures, and major events related to India’s struggle for freedom.
The e-quiz on India’s Independence Day was a successful and informative event, achieving its goals of educating participants and enhancing their awareness of India’s rich history. The positive feedback and high engagement levels suggest that similar future events could further benefit the students understanding of historical and cultural topics.
Around 60 students have actively participated in this E- Quiz competition. Certificates were given to each participating student. The program was coordinated by Prof. Yamini Verma under the guidance of Dr. Jasleen Kaur, HOD, Department of Management Studies.
ALUMNI TALK On “HIGHER EDUCATION TO LAND YOUR DREAM JOB”
The Department of Management studies organised an Alumni talk on “Higher Education to Land Your Dream Job” on 21st February, 2024 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib. The Eminent Speaker of this seminar was Ms Jyoti Kumari, HR Generalist at Sarahna Industries, Noida. Dr. Jasleen Kaur (HOD) department of management studies welcomed and honoured the guest.
In an engaging and informative Alumni Talk, an industry expert and alumni gathered to discuss a topic that is crucial for recent graduates.The session, which was well-attended by students, faculty, and alumni, focused on the role in preparing individuals for their careers by offering specialized knowledge, practical experience, and networking opportunities.
The guest speaker shared valuable insights into the modern higher education programs, which are evolving to address the skills gap between academia and industry. Universities and colleges are partnering with employers to design curricula that meet the demands of the workforce. From internships and co-op programs to certifications in emerging technologies, these initiatives ensure graduates are job-ready.
She also emphasised on the future of higher education.It should be set to be shaped by advancements in technology and the growing demand for lifelong learning. Online courses, micro-credentials, and personalized learning paths are empowering individuals to continuously upskill and remain relevant in their chosen industries.
All in all, an alumni talk was a resounding success, providing attendees with a clear understanding of the skills and attributes that employer’s value in today’s dynamic job market. Report on E-Quiz on Republic Day Celebration
An E-Quiz has been conducted on the occasion of 75th Republic Day (26 January 2024) by Department of Management studies, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib. The quiz aimed to promote national integration which helps the students to know the importance of this day and feel proud of our country.
A total of 36 students participated in this E- quiz competition. Certificates were given to each participating student. The program was coordinated by Prof. Yamini Verma under the guidance of Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Head MBA department.
Alumni Talk On “College to Corporate Journey”
Department of management studies organised an Alumni talk on “College to corporate journey” on 29th January 2024 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh sahib. The Eminent Speaker of this seminar was Mr. Pamanand Kumar. Dr.Jasleen Kaur (HOD) department of management studies welcomed Mr.Parmanand. The Speaker shared his experience of college life with the students and explained how he worked on his academic excellence during studies. He also discussed about his participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. He guided the students about the various opportunities available after completing their studies. He counseled the students about various other competitive exams to students that need to be given to get better jobs.
The speaker also shared his view about corporate life he said it is a life changing transformation after completion of studies when anybody enter in corporate world. He also states that it is a life transition that is exciting because it helps to get work achieving dream job,earn money,enjoying & spending.it also gives the sense of role,responsibilities and duties that comes with job. Motivational Session by successful innovator On Multi Million Dollar Technology Startup
A motivational session was held on 20th November, 2023 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib. The entire programme was organised by training and placement cell for the management as well as engineering students in collaboration with IIC Dept. All the members gathered in auditorium at 11.00 am. Dr. Manpreet Kaur Arora welcomed the Dr.Lakhvir Singh Principal of the college, eminent speaker Paramdeep Singh CEO at fieldAssist, Gurgaon, Haryana, India and other members It was an interesting session as management students took interest in understanding that how to be successful in multimillion dollar technology start-up.

The Eminent Speaker of this seminar was Ms Shilpi Kumari, HR Assistant at Allied Essence, Noida. Dr. Jasleen Kaur (HOD) department of management studies welcomed and honoured the guest.

REPORT ON ART FIESTA 2K23
On 31st October 2023, a colourful and memorable “ART FIESTA 2K23” was organized by the Department of Management Studies. Most of the students of BBA and MBA have actively participated in various events such as rangoli, mehndi, poster and model making competitions.
The show was commenced by the inspirational speech by Dr Lakhvir Singh, Principal, BBSBEC, FGS. It was a truly mesmerizing show as the teams from both courses; MBA & BBA excitedly showcase their art in wonderful manner. Where on one side, students were engaged in designing mehndi and rangoli, on the other side, the creativity in poster and model making was tremendous.Everyone sat glued to the show.
Finally, everyones’s wait was over when the result was annonced by event coordinator, Prof. Prabhjot Kaur and Prof. Gurinderpal Kaur. The prizes were distributed to the winners by the principal, he appreciated the entire event. Also, He guided with his inspirational words and inspired to do better in future. At last, Dr. Jasleen Kaur, head of management department, has given formal vote of thanks and concluded the event with a sincere hope that such events should be organized in future also.
Seminar on Interview skills Time and Priority Management
A seminar was conducted at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib on 11th October, 2023. The topic of seminar was “Interview Skills, Time and Priority Management”. All the faculty members and students gathered in auditorium at 11.00 am. Dr. Manpreet Kaur Arora welcomed the eminent speakers Pushpinder Singh Trainer & Internationally certified coach and IPS Talwar he is also Trainer & Internationally certified coach. Both speakers through the light on important skills which are very essential to crack any interview. The tips suggested by the speakers will be helpful to the students to get placement in reputed companies.

The Department of Management studies organised an Alumni talk on “Top Tips for Virtual Interviews” on 20th September, 2023 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib. Dr. Jasleen Kaur (HOD) department of management studies welcomed and honoured the guest, Mr. Abhishek Kumar, MIS Executive at Sarahna Industries PVT.LTD, Noida.
All MBA & BBA students along with faculty members actively engaged in an Alumni Talk.The main focused of the talk was about the job seekers, they must adapt their strategies to make a strong impression online. Whether applying for an internship, entry-level role, or an executive position, excelling in virtual interviews can set aspirants apart from other candidates.
The speaker guided the students to ensure about the internet connection, camera, microphone, and software are functioning properly before the interview. Also, to choose a quiet, well-lit space with a clean and neutral background. Avoid clutter or distractions that might divert attention. He added how virtual interviews are an opportunity to showcase your adaptability and professionalism in a remote setting. By preparing thoroughly and presenting yourself confidently, you can leave a lasting positive impression on employers.

Report on Management Euphoria-2k23
The “Time2Shine Club” of Management Department organized an event “Management Euphoria 2K23” on 12th April, 2023 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib. The entire programme was organised under the guidance of Event Coordinators Prof. Prabhjot Kaur & Prof. Manjit Kaur. There were four main events named Object Hunting, Logo Design, AD Selfe & Map Your Brain.There were approx. 80 participants from different departments of the college.
Most of these activities were group-oriented which helps the students get to know about people from different cultural backgrounds and interests. These healthy interactions not only enhance the students interpersonal and communication skills but also prepare them for the real world. Moreover in this event activities are designed in a way that students could focus on high degree of communication among team players, honing problem-solving skills, creativity and instilling faith among the teams. Different games required different traits from the students like team work, adaptability, planning, and mutual-trust and communication. Each task touched upon different attributes of management so these sort of events upgrade student’s capabilities to fetch good chores in corporate world.
Honorable Principal Dr. Lakhvir Singh appreciated the efforts made by the management department and student’s .He also enlightened the importance of such events in the life of students.
At the end, the legacy of Time2Shine Club was passed by former student Conveners S.Shamsher Singh & S. Manjot Singh to new elected members of the club. HOD of management department Dr. Jasleen Kaur congratulated the students for organizing such a wonderful event. Vote of thanks was given by Event Convener Prof. Prabhjot Kaur. Report on “Nutrition Awareness Program Along with Fitness Drive”
The Department of Management Studies celebrated International Women’s Day on 7th March, 2023 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, FGS. Our Guest of owner Dt. Kamal Bajwa shared her view regarding “Nutrition Awareness Program along with fitness drive for women.
Dt. Kamal Bajwa discussed about the importance of food and nutrition for women. She guided that women should consume a proper diet with adequate nutrients which is necessary to avoid long term malnutrition that leads to diseases and lack of efficiency. A proper food pyramid should be followed and all kinds of nutrients should be consumed from different sources.
She also focused on the inevitable role that nutrition plays in the life of women between the ages of 18-25 years and later unveiled the reality behind different myths regarding cholesterol. She also explained about all kind of nutrients those are essential for the human body. She concluded the session by summarizing her entire talk in a few points.
In the end Dt Kamal Bajwa was felicitated with a memento by Dr. Lakhvir Singh , Principal of BBSBEC & staff members. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jasleen kaur (HOD MBA Deptt).

“Understanding Harmony and Professional Ethics”
A seminar was organized by Department of Management Studies, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib on 23.11.2022. The eminent speaker Dr. Raminder Singh Uppal (Dean Industry Relation) has given seminar on the topic of “Understanding Harmony and Professional Ethics”. Around 100 students of Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) attended the Seminar. Dr.Lakhvir Singh, Principal, BBSBEC Fatehgarh Sahib welcomed the Eminent Speaker, Staff members and students. He encouraged the students regarding right attitude and behavior towards the society.
Dr. Raminder Singh Uppal guided the students about the positive attitude and right behavior so as to thrive ultimate success in life. He also shed light on two parameters that are Outer space and Inner space. Inner space is full of thoughts, emotions, memories which is important in everyone’s life to manage and helps to keep our outer space healthy. We can manage Outer Space like family, health, friends, work and interest with the help of Inner Space. In the end, he concluded that we should focus on inner space and start observing nature by introspecting ourselves and have courage to confess our weakness to improve oneself.
Dr. Manpreet Kaur, (IIC, President) thanked Dr. Raminder Singh Uppal, Students and faculty members of the department for organizing such a motivational seminar and encouraged the students to focus on analyzing the inner self in order to improve our behaviour with everyone in the society. She acknowledged Dr. Uppal for his great thoughts on making them understand the harmony in life which would help them to behave ethically in their both professional and personal life.
Report on Inauguration of Baba Ajai Singh Library

The department of management studies has inaugurated a departmental library in a hall no 329 on 1st November, 2022 on the name of “Baba Ajai Singh” at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur engineering college Fatehgarh sahib . Dr. Lakhvir Singh, honorable principal was the chief guest. Around 50 students and faculty members of the management department attended the ceremony. The programme began at 9.30 am with the recitation of Japji Sahib by students and faculty members. Dr. Jasleen Kaur ,HOD, of the management department welcomed the gathering. The event was further continued by the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony by principal sir. Then he delivered a valuable speech on reading books and said that a library is a treasure of knowledge for students . It is a great platform for everyone who wants to enhance knowledge.
Principal sir, appreciated the coordinators Prof. Gurinderpal Kaur library in charge and Prof. Yamini Verma , Prof. Jatinder kaur co-incharge and the entire staff for taking this valuable initiative.

Competition Organized by Time-2 Shine Club
The Time-2 Shine Club of Department of management studies organized a PowerPoint presentation competition on 26th September, 2022 under the guidance of Prof. Probhjot Kaur, Prof. Manjit Kaur and Prof. Yamini Verma at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College Fatehgarh Sahib. The presentation topics were related to“Recent Trends in Management”. Around 100 students of the management department attended the programme. The event was started with the welcome of the honorable Principal Dr. Lakhvir Singh. Dr.Jasleen kaur (HOD) Management department, Prof .Gurinderpal Kaur and Prof. Peeyush Gaba were the judges of the competition.
Around ten students participated in this event. Students delivered their presentations on different topics like Importance of marketing in today’s economy, financial manager’s role in managing business enterprises, Role of HR in enhancing workplace productivity, Personality and its effect on group performance, etc. The other students also got aware about these trends through these presentations. The judges gave their judgment regarding presentations of the participants and announced the winners. The first position was taken by Ankita Patel (BBA 1st), 2nd position Diksha Sharma (BBA 5th) and 3rd position holder was Juhi Khanam (MBA1st).
Principal Sir praised the entire event a lot and he guided the students with his inspirational words and motivated them to do better in their future. He further added that students must focus on their communication skills and presentations skills while delivering the presentation. He also inspired the organizers of the club Shamsher singh, Manjot Singh and Rohit Sinha to conduct such informative affairs. The competition was ended by giving a formal vote of thanks by Dr.Jasleen kaur, HOD, Department of Management studies. She thanked the Principal sir, faculty members, students and coordinators for organizing such a wonderful event.

On 17/05/2022, a colourful and memorable KARMANFEST 2K22 was organized in our college by the TIME2SHINE CLUB. This event was whole day long for both the days and was held in the auditorium and some other places of our college. In this mega fest, many colleges and schools from our and other nearby cities took part.
The grand show commenced by the arrival of various teams from colleges and schools. Then the Chief Guest, Dr. ARVIND, the Vice-chancellor of the Punjabi University Patiala, Punjab had arrived. There was a colourful welcome followed by lighting of the lamp. It was accompanied by a melodious shabad kirtan. It was followed by a welcome speech. Then there was bouquet presentation to the invited guests and the grand event began. It was a truly mesmerizing show as the teams from various colleges and schools presented many programmes. there was two types of events on the 17th, first waskarman creativity and second, karman biz, on the next day there waskarman culture. Everyone sat glued to the show. The Chief Guest praised the entire event a lot. He guided with his inspirational words and inspired to do better . It was followed by the announcement of the winners of the first day. The some of the participants from our college hadwon the different positions.On the next day, all the cultural events were conducted in the auditorium and in the last all the winners got their prizes by the principal sir of our college. It was followed by a formal vote of thanks and the event concluded.
We really enjoyed a lot and dispersed with a sincere hope that such mega events should be organized time and again giving the students a chance to display their talents.
Action taken report for the year 2021-22
1. The Department of Management Studies organized the seminar on “Research and Innovation “on February 21, 2022 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, FGS. Dr. Manpreet Kaur (HOD RIC and President –BBSBEC IIC) was the eminent Speaker for the Seminar. The objective behind organizing this lecture was to enlighten the students about the theoretical and practical aspects of research.
Dr. Manpreet Kaur extends immense respect to the idea of research and explained how good research facilitates the development of society. She also emphasized on the fact that good research should be socially relevant and of contemporary in nature. She highlighted the duties of a critical scholar and how the same would affect the quality of research. And she also explained all the aspects with the help of illustrations and examples that provided a clearer understanding to the students regarding research and innovation .The lecture also touched upon another view with respect to the qualifications or traits to be present as a research scholar. Speaker mentioned that a research scholar must have the taste for the subject matter, patience, intellectual honesty, objectivity and should not suffer from chronic accuracy. The students were extremely overwhelmed by the lecture delivered by the speaker as it would be very effective for their career and future work on research.
Dr. Lakhvir Singh, Principal BBSBEC shared his view about the seminar and encouraged the students for research work. 2. The Department of Management Studies organized the seminar on “Interpersonal Conflict Management” on March 24th, 2022 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, FGS. The eminent speaker Dr. Ran Singh Dhaliwal was from Punjabi University Patiala. The objective behind organizing this lecture was to make students understand how to resolve interpersonal conflicts in every sphere of life.
Dr.Ran Singh said the conflict can be a positive creative force, when it increases communication, releases stored feelings which results in the growth of the relationship between parties in conflict and improves performance. He told there are various ways to resolve conflicts like bargaining, negotiating, mediating and communication facilitation considering the existing scenario of the organization. At the end speaker undoubtedly explained that there is a need to resolve conflicts as far as possible for the improvement of the organization.
Dr .Lakhvir Singh, Principal BBSBEC shared his views regarding seminar and guided the students to learn good interpersonal skills to improve the relationship. “My Story-Motivational Session by Successful Innovators”
6thDecember, 2021.
The Management Department and College Innovation Cell organized the seminar on “MY STORY-MOTIVATIONAL SESSION BY SUCCESSFUL INNOVATORS” on December 6,2021. The programme started at 2:00 pm. The eminent speaker of the seminar was Mr.Harinder Singh Hundal, Director from Aemyo. The focus of the seminar was to provide motivation to the students. The welcome address and introduction of the speaker was given by Komal Kapila, Student of Management Department.
Mr.Harinder Singh Hundal, started with the quote “Don’t go for temporary motivation, go for your drive”. He discussed that everyone has his own definition of success; certain people are successful by their own imagination which means human mind is always prone to his imagination. He gave so many motivational examples which motivated audience a lot. At last he told that how could we find where we are wrong? We can find that by implementing a formula “RTTVPPP” R stands for “REGISTER”, T stands for “TOTALITY”, T stands for “TIMBER”, P stands for “PITCH”, P STANDS For“ PACE”, P stands for “PAUSE”.

The Department of Management Studies and BBSBEC Innovation Cell organized the seminar on ”ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS,ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOUR DEVELOPMENT” on December 3,2021. The seminar focused on the development of skills of entrepreneurship and behaviour development of the individuals. Dr.Raminder Singh Uppal- Professor at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib was the eminent speaker.
He focused on two main words “LOVE” and “FREEDOM” and understanding for love and freedom in real sense -for ultimate success. In his lecture, he discussed that Freedom is all about inner space and outer space. The preconditioning leads to enslavement, which means dependent on others. Preconditioning related to love is a common misunderstanding, in order to understand love; you have to focus on yourself. Love refers to the feeling of being related to all, responsible towards all, giving to all in continuity and self-verification leads to freedom. Thus, conditioning leads to imagination and imagination leads to the attitude and behavior of an individual.

The Department of Management Studies of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College. Fatehgarh Sahib organized a webinar on Making the Most out of your student experience at an academic institution: Ideas and Reflections” on 24th August 2020 through Google Meet. The distinguished speaker for the event was Dr Asad Sahir. He has been serving as the Head – Professional Development at IIT Ropar’s Career Development and Corporate Relations Centre. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Ropar. His previous professional research experience includes his work at the US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s Corporate Research and Development Centre. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. In the webinar, he encouraged students to use their time in a productive manner in order to achieve the goal ser by them. He motivated the students to realize their full potential and the importance of self-worth. More than 80+ students have attended the webinar. The webinar was concluded with a vote of thanks from Principal Sir to the Dr Asad for sharing his valuable sights and experiences with the students.
“WEBINAR ON MANAGEMENT OF TRAFFIC RULES”
Webinar on “Management of Traffic Rules” was organized by Masters of Business Administration Department of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib on 25th December, 2020. The webinar was conducted to create an awareness among the youth about the importance of traffic rules and traffic signs. The eminent speaker of this webinar was Pradeep Kaur. She is an Area Sales Manager in Mumbai- Shell India. There were around 50+ participants who registered the webinar and the webinar was conducted in the online mode on Google Meet platform. All the registered participants actively participated in the webinar and are awarded with “Certificate of Participation”. The Principal Maj. Gen. Dr. G.S. State Level Debate Competition on Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency
To disseminate the knowledge of energy efficiency measures at the grass root level, PEDA with the support of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) had organized a State Level Debate Competition in association with MBA department on Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency in Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College on 17th October 2018 in association with GMK Infra Solutions LLP.

Teacher’s day celebration
Teachers’ Day is celebrated on September 5, every year on the occasion of the birth anniversary of India’s second President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Dr. Radhakrishnan was of the opinion that “teachers should be the best minds in the country”. When he became the second president of India in 1962, his students were eager to celebrate his birthday as ‘Radhakrishnan Day’ but he refused their idea by saying “Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5 is observed as Teachers’ Day.” Ever since then, his birthday is observed as Teachers’ Day all over the country.
Teacher’s Day is dedicated to the teachers and mentors who guide and train the every student to be better human beings. To make this day more memorable the students of MBA 1st and 2nd year together organized a get together for their teachers. The party began with a cake cutting ceremony by our respected Principal Sir, HOD maam accompanied by all staff members.
Honorable Principal sir enlightened our knowledge about this day with a valuable speech. After that students deliver enthusiastic speeches for all their beloved teachers. Beautiful performances by MBA students brought a wave of joy in the atmosphere. Not only this, also there was a skit in which students played the part of teachers. At the end, there was refreshment for all. All in all, this party was a combination of knowledge and enjoyment, which helped in development a positive relationship between teachers and students.
Report on MBA Fresher’s Party
23rd August 2019 was marked as a memorable day in the life of every fresher of 2019-2020 MBA at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College Fatehgarh Sahib. The second year students organized a fresher’s party “NOVATO FIESTA 2K19” for the freshers. The main purpose of this party was to welcome newcomers in a friendly environment to boost their confidence. The program was commenced by lamp lightening and welcome speech by our honourable Principle sir. The highlight of the event was a fashion show followed by the questioning round . Every participant was dressed dashing way and were leaving fire on the ramp.
The stars of the event were Miss Fresher Yamini Verma , Mr. Fresher Jaspreet Singh, Miss Talented Simran Kaur and Mr. Talented Bakhshish Singh. It was a day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness.
All awards were given by the Principal Sir, Dr. G.S. Lamba to the respective students, with the trophies, sachets and gifts. The event winded up by cultural dance performances and delicious lunch. Finally the program ended, leaving behind sweet memories that will be cherished lifelong.
FIRST INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO KANDHARI BEVERAGES LTD. , SADHUGARH ON 26TH OCTOBER ’17.
The Department of Management Studies organized an industrial visit for MBA 1st and 3rd Semester students to Kandhari Beverages Ltd, Nabipur on 26th October ’ 17. As Coca-cola India, is one of the country’s leading beverage companies, offering a range of healthy, safe, high quality, refreshing beverage options to consumers, its plant located in Nabipur which is a leading manufacturer of cold drinks in North India.Company’s main headquarter is in Chandigarh. Coca-Cola has also two plants in Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) and Saha (Haryana).The plant earlier was setup in 21 acres which later expanded to 28 acres. The plant has Asia’s fastest line of 750bpm, which means the machine packs 750 bottles in one minute. The plant in village Nabipur was established in 2001. The visit of MBA students at the plant was very beneficial. The HR Senior executive Mr. Vipan Kumar guided students about the process and functioning of the machines.The plant mainly manufacture coke, fanta, thumbs-up, and Tatra pack juices. The students were allowed to see all the steps involved in making bevereges from filteration of water to the final step of packing of beverages. The plant’s HR executive also planned an intraction session for the students in which students asked their queries. The staff of the plant was very co-operative and the industrial visit to the plant was very knowledgeable and resourceful.
The Department of Management Studies and Photography Club of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur engineering College organized a workshop on Photo-Essays and Stories on 24th August 2017. The faculty and students from various departments participated actively in the session. Mr Jatinder Kamboj, Creative Artist & Professional Photographer at IRIS Academy Patiala interacted with the students in the modern areas of photography by highlighting the importance of photo essays and stories in the field of photography. He shared various award winning photographs as well as discussed the biographies of renowned photographers at the national and international level. He encouraged the students to develop and hone their photography skills and choosing photography as a career option from being amateurs to become professionals. The session was concluded by Prof. Sukhmeet Kaur, coordinator of the event. Dr B.S Bhullar, Head MBA, Dr G.S Brar, Head EE and Faculty of Management Studies give a vote of thanks to Mr Jatinder Kamboj for sharing his valuable insights and experience in the field of photography.

Freshers’ party is all about making the best start to the new academic year. A time to create everlasting relationships with each other. Continuing with the proud tradition of the college, the students of MBA second year have organized a Fresher’s party “FIESTA” to formally welcome the first year students on September 7, 2016 at Hotel Rikkiz, Fatehgarh Sahib. With pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot tapping music, the party began with a blast. It was a fun filled event at which the fresher’s got an opportunity not only to showcase their talents and but also to interact with the seniors. Dr G.S Lamba, Principal also addressed the students and mesmerized them with their singing. Further, Prof. B.S Bhullar and Faculty MBA also addressed the students and motivate them regarding future prospects. Afterwards, Sanjeev Kumar and Hardeep Kaur was selected as the Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher of the Party and Ravi Kumar and Harjit Kaur were selected as Mr. Talented and Miss Talented. Finally the program ended, leaving behind sweet memories that will be cherished lifelong.

BUSINESS QUIZ
The Department of Management Studies has been organized a Business Quiz on 12th September, 2014 for its MBA students in order to judge their awareness in the various fields of Management and current business happenings. All the students of MBA participated in the event, out of which Jasdeep Kaur and Ramandeep Kaur shared first position. Poonamdeep Kaur and Manpreet Kaur got the second position and Jaskiran Kaur has been awarded with third position. In order to motivate the students for participation , these types of activities will be organized in the near future as well. To honour the students, medals will be awarded in the prize distribution function being organized annually at the college level.

Leaving college for better opportunities in life is not a sad moment, rather it’s a time of celebration, a moment one should always cherish in their memory. One should learn from all the good, bad experiences he/she had in college life. They should gather all these experiences and use it in bright future they are trying to build.
In order to bless the seniors with the great future and an incredible party was hosted and organised by MBA-Ist year students, to bid farewell for MBA-IIyear students . The programme started at 12noon with a prayer followed by delivering a few soothing messages by the, Principal, Dr G.S Lamba and Head of the department, Dr. B.S Bhullar.
It was a fun filled event and students enjoyed a lot, leaving behind sweet memories that will be cherished lifelong.

The Department of Management Studies in Association with Alumni Cell of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering college, Fatehgarh Sahib organized Reunion of esteemed MBA pass out students on 19 march 2016.Principal Retired Major General Dr.G.S.Lamba VSM inaugurated the function. The event started with Shabad Gayan ceremony. Existing Students of Management department perform various cultural events on this occasion such as Gidha Bhangra and Drama Events. An interaction session was organized between the Alumni members and existing students. The Alumni’s share their views with the existing students and makes them aware how they can plan their career growth in various growing fields after completing their course. They also share what are the main areas of their personality in which they can develop themselves in order to get a good job. Kulbir Jhinjer proud Alumni of Management Department also rocks the stage by his singing performance and he was honor with college Memento. In order to maintain a long term liaison with Alumni some members are included in Alumni Association of college. Alumni member were feeling wonderful after refreshing their memories at BBSBEC.
