Students of CSE Department of BBSBEC won ISTE “Young Engineer Innovators” Award

4 students of CSE Department of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib have won the ‘Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)’ award for B.Tech Projects under the category of “Young Engineer Innovators” of Punjab Technical University Award for “Young Engineer Innovators”. The awarded students are the final year BTech. students of Computer Science and Engineering Department. The First Prize was awarded to Damanpreet Kaur and Baljot Kaur with Project titled “IOT Based Home Security System” and, Second Prize was won by Rashi Midha & Sakshi Poddar for the Project titled “Home Automation”. The supervisor of both these projects is Dr. Jatinder Singh Saini (Assistant Professor,CSE).  Both the innovative projects were based on the latest field of “INTERNET of THINGS (IoT)”.

Major General (Dr.) G S Lamba, Principal, congratulated the students for their marvelous achievement.  Dr. Kanwalvir Singh Dhindsa (Professor & Head, Department of CSE) said that it is a matter of pride that students of the department are excelling tremendously in such national level Project competitions by taking advantage of latest tools & techniques.
