IEI Punjab & Chandigarh Envisages Vision 2040 at the International Conference
IEI Punjab & Chandigarh Organized International Conference Titled on “Electronics and Communication, Renewable Energy and IOT’s Vision 2040” on 7-8 Sept,2019 at Engineers Bhawan, Sector 19A Chandigarh in association with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College Fatehgarh Sahib. In this 2 Day event, total 06 technical sessions for academicians & researchers & 02 sessions for the students were organized. Some of the international delegates presented their research paper through Video Conferencing.
Dr. K.K. Aggarwal chairman of the national Board of accreditation (NBA), responsible for gradation of the technical institutions, inaugurated the conference.
Er. Janak Raj Garg FIE, Chairman and Prof. (Dr.) T.S. Kamal, Convener of the Conference welcomed the dignitaries including Chief Guest Er. S.S. Sarna, Member, Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission and Guest of Honour Dr. Shakti Kumar, Director PIET Panipat (Haryana). Dr. Shakti Kumar presented a model of insulin controller in human body with artificial intelligence and introduced few more such models. Dr. A.P. Singh of SLIET in his Keynote address discussed the current issues in artificial intelligence and their remedies for the development of sustainable technological tools. Er. S.S. Mundi FIE, Secretary expressed his satisfaction over the successful conduct of this two day mega event. He also thanked all the dignitaries, Guests and delegates for making the event a huge success.

All India Seminar on Recent Trends in Image Processing for AI Implementation was concluded on 8 feb ,2019 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. Event was being organized by The Institution of Engineers, Punjab and Chandigarh Sate Centre in collaboration with Department of CSE, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.
On the first day of the seminar in technical session 1, Key note addresses are delivered by Dr. Sujata Pal AP, IIT Ropar and Dr. Akashdeep Sharma, AP, UIET, Chandigarh.The participants from technical institutes in and around Punjab presented their research papers on the theme in technical session. A total of 10 papers were presented in technical session 1 and the session was chaired by Dr. Navdeep Singh, Associate Professor, MGC, Fatehgarh Sahib .The second technical session was chaired by Dr Baljit Singh Khehra, Professor, BBSBEC and a total of 10 papers were presented by the participants.
On the Final day of the seminar, in the third technical session 13 papers were presented by researchers, engineers and scientists and the session is chaired by Dr. Williamjeet Singh, AP, Punjabi University, Patiala. The expert talks (Key Note Address) were delivered by Dr. Gurleen Ahluwalia, AP, University College, Ghanour and Dr. Sarabjeet Singh, UIET, Chandigarh. The event concluded with the presentation of Mementoes & Certificates . Er. J R Garg, (FIE, Chairman, Punjab & Chandigarh State Centre, Institution of Engineers (India)) , Major General (Dr.) G S Lamba(Principal (BBSBEC)), Er. S.S Mundi(Honorary Secretary Punjab & Chandigarh State Centre, Institution of Engineers (India)),Dr. Baljit Singh Khehra (Head, Department of CSE ,BBSBEC) , Dr.Kanwalvir Singh Dhindsa (Professor & Co-Convener ) were also present at the ocassion .Dr.Lamba said that the event implanted a firm relation of upcoming strategies in the field of artificial intelligence with the researchers. Er.Puneet Mittal, Organizing Secretary presented ‘Vote of Thanks’ & assured of such programs in future as it is boon for researchers to update their skills with latest and advanced technologies.
